At this time I will try to address questions that you may have about my Doula
services, If I leave anything out or you would like more information about any
subject, Please feel free to contact me I would be happy to give you any
additional information that I can.
I have been a Certified Birth Doula through both DONA and CAPPA.
I provide complete non-judgmental birth support, by this I mean. I will
provide you with any informational, educational, and/or physical support
that YOU need to have the best birth out come for YOU. I will give you the
information that you request and let you decide what is best. I will not
offer my opinion unless asked and I will NOT make any decisions concerning
your birth.
My fee includes:
2 prenatal visits, (These visits are to get to know each other, answer any
questions that you may have, discuss things that you would like for your birth,
etc. Additional visits available if requested)
Total support for labor (from the time that you decide that you want me to
come to be with you) through birth and the immediate postpartum (up to 4
hours after the birth) period,
2 postnatal visits,
24 hour on call status from 38 weeks through 42 weeks of pregnancy,
2 hour phone consultation time for both prenatal and postnatal questions,
Breastfeeding support (if this is the way you choose to feed your baby),
The use of my lending library,
Back-up Doula (I pay for the back-up Doula expenses if needed).
If you decide that you would like to use meditation and/or guided imagery to help
you with labor and/or birth I will schedule 2 extra prenatal visits strictly to practice
meditation and/or guided imagery at no additional fee.
Use of my music library, If you choose to use my music for the birth of your baby,
I give you a copy of the CD that your baby was born to at no extra charge.
I will take pictures with my digital camera if you would like, (as graphic as you are
comfortable with and give you a CD of them. I do not keep ANY copies of these
pictures for myself. I burn them onto the CD and delete them.
I do have access to a birthing pool but the rental fee for this is extra,
The fee for the pool is $100.00 and is rented from a Midwife that I know.
This pool is on a first come first serve basis and a deposit of $50.00 is
required when reserved. I also have access to a water birth information
packet.
I also offer belly casting and private childbirth education classes.
